We were sad to learn of the death on Monday 6 January of Sir Thomas Dunne, who was closely involved in the life of our cathedral for many years, both in his role as Lord Lieutenant for over thirty years and also as the Chairman of our Cathedral Council from its inception in 2001.

We assure Lady Dunne and her family of our love and prayers in their bereavement, as they – and we – mourn a faithful of servant of the Church and of the Crown. 

May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
