Safeguarding vulnerable individuals, whether children or adults, is the responsibility of everyone in the Cathedral community, and the Chapter has designated individuals to lead in this area who can provide advice.

Lisa Anderson is the Diocesan Safeguarding Officer for the Diocese of Hereford. She provides advice, information and support and liaises with both voluntary and statutory bodies. Contact her on [email protected]. Lisa is also contactable via mobile for any ‘out of hours’ incidents or concerns on 07999 028076, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Cathedral’s safeguarding activities are overseen by a Safeguarding Management Group which includes diocesan and Cathedral School safeguarding representatives. The Group has an independent Chair experienced in safeguarding matters.
