Cathedral Close Tours

On selected days we run Cathedral Close Tours in the place of daily tours. Guests can discover the medieval characters that sit across the North Porch entrance, the lessons of the wood and stone carvings in the St John’s Walk , the magnificent cloisters of the Vicars’ Choral and the intriguing West Front which tells the history of the Cathedral in one glance. Please visit the Welcome Desk or Cathedral Shop to find out if an outside tour is running today.

If you are interested in joining one of the cathedral tours it is very important you make contact with the Visits Office first to ensure that tours are taking place that day. Sometimes, even at very short notice, tours have to be cancelled owing to other events taking place in the cathedral.

Hereford Cathedral is fully covered by CCTV for the safety and security of our visitors, volunteers and staff.
