Office Manager Vacancy Hereford Cathedral is looking to recruit an experienced Office Manager to join our friendly team. Based in the unique and beautiful College Cloisters, you will be responsible for the operation of the Cathedral’s main office. This interesting role is customer-focused and will see you working with people from across all areas of the Cathedral community; so you will be a great team player, friendly and welcoming, and have fantastic communication skills. Taking the lead in running the office, you will be very approachable, practical and well organised with the ability to prioritise competing demands on a busy day. No two days are the same and your work on any given day may involve responding to visitor enquiries, helping colleagues with more complex printing requests, organising the office and its document management, handling all formats of incoming and outgoing correspondence, taking bookings for Golden Valley pilgrims, producing signs and labels for the catering team or producing an ID badge for a new Cathedral volunteer. As a skilled and experienced administrator, you will bring a range of knowledge to the role, including having a good level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, in particular Outlook, Word, Teams and Excel. The post is permanent and is subject to a six-month probation period. The appointment of the successful candidate is subject to the receipt of two satisfactory references, proof of right to work in the UK and will also require a satisfactory DBS check. The working hours are 35 hours per week, generally Monday to Friday 09.00 – 17.00. Overtime is not payable but time off in lieu will be granted. The position will command a salary of £23,000 per annum, with an 8% non-contributory pension scheme.
