The programme for this year’s Life & Learning programme has been announced with a focus on ‘Discovering the Old Testament’.

Life & Learning is the adult education arm of Hereford Cathedral, working to broaden understanding and debate in theology, social issues, and the arts. It offers a wide range of opportunities for study and learning, and for experiencing the Christian faith in many aspects. Open to all people, regardless of religious affiliation, it aims to be a forum of honesty and engagement.

This year’s programme features a diverse range of lectures, workshops and events which explore the Old Testament as well as other topics ranging from music and theology to the medieval Jewish history of Hereford.

The Revd Canon James Pacey, director of the Life & Learning programme says; “I am excited about the breadth of topics and the diversity of our speakers during 2025. So often, the Old Testament is approached with a degree of wariness and misunderstanding: this year gives us an opportunity to delve deeply into its riches and discover God’s grace afresh.”
