Canon Andrew’s Retirement Many of you will already know that Andrew Piper will be retiring in September after more than 22 years as our Precentor. I know that like me, you will all miss him and wish to honour him and his spectacular contribution to the life of this community as well as we can. For 8am Sunday regulars Andrew will preside at his final service of Holy Communion on Sunday 10 August. His final 10am Eucharist will be on Sunday 14 September (Holy Cross Day), after which we will ply him with fizz, and presentations in the nave. You are all very much welcome to his farewell, but if you are not a regular worshipper at the 10am service please could you let us know that you are coming so that we can cater accordingly! If you would like to contribute financially towards gifts for Andrew please do so this via the cathedral office or vestry, or if preferred, through BACS - details available below. I am sure that many of you would like to write a personal message to Andrew. We are creating a book for this purpose to present to him at his farewell (we think a card will be too small!). If you would like a message to Andrew included in this book, please pop into the office or vestry where cards will be available to write on, or email your message to [email protected] using subject line “Andrew Piper Message”. If you would like to contribute to a collection for Andrew via BACS please use these details: Account Name: The Chapter of Hereford Cathedral Account Number: 00102904 Sort Code: 30-94-14 Reference: Piper Gift Manage Cookie Preferences
