How do we respond to AI in our lives? Stephen Mason, an enthusiastic supporter of the Friends, now living in Madley, has offered to speak on his specialism. Firstly, he defines AI (Artificial Intelligence), explaining how it works and how it is controlled by human beings behind corporate veils. Secondly, he argues that the legal system (legal educators, lawyers and judges) has failed in its response to software technology. Finally, he poses questions that may or may not need answering, or may or may not be capable of an answer. How do we respond to AI in our lives? Are we in control? How has the papacy responded? Should the Church of England take a lead, as the Papacy has done? Or is it wise to remain silent? Stephen has been invited to speak on this topic all over the world, most recently in Singapore.
