their hopes and fears; their courage; their heartaches; their resilience.

Lecture 1: Sarah and the heartbreak of infertility.

Lecture 2: The sexual harassment of women
illustrated by Bathsheba and Susannah.

Lecture 3: The courage of Esther in the face of
ethnic cleansing.

Lecture 4: The rescue of the Jewish people by Judith.
