Mappa Mundi and Chained Library Museum The Mappa Mundi & Chained Library Museum is open Monday - Saturday, 10 am - 5pm (last admission 4.30 pm) Explore Hereford's famous medieval map and discover how scholars interpreted the world over 700 years ago, displayed alongside 229 illuminated manuscripts and over 1,200 early printed books. You can purchase your ticket to visit the museum up to 4 weeks in advance via the cathedral website. Tickets will still be available to purchase from the entry desk on the day. When you purchase your ticket, you're welcome to enter at any time during opening hours on the same day. There’s no need to book a specific time slot.
