Garden Tour Hereford Cathedral is home to some of the most historic gardens in the county. Once again, we are pleased to offer Garden Tours this summer to showcase areas of the Cathedral’s grounds which are mostly private. The historic Chapter House Garden nestles amongst medieval ruins while the historic College of the Vicars Choral, Cloister and Chapter gardens illustrate pre-Reformation social and culinary lifestyles. Spring bulbs carpet lawns under ancient trees in the majestic Bishop’s Palace Garden and roses fill the air with the scent of summer in the secluded College Garden. Garden tours run at 2 pm on selected Wednesdays & Saturdays and last between 60 – 90 minutes. Tickets cost £7.50 and can be bought in advance on the website by proceeding below, or on the day from the Ticket Desk. Tickets are non-refundable. Accessibility Information: Chapter House & Cloisters Garden are both easily accessible for wheelchairs. Canon's Garden, Lower Dean’s Garden and Bishop's Garden have some areas with sloping lawns, gravel paths and a few steps so are less accessible, but more accessible routes throughout the gardens can be suggested. If you require any further details on accessibility, please contact [email protected] Clicking the book button below will take you to our Spektrix booking site where you can also browse other ticketed events taking place within the cathedral.
