Jazz in The Garden returns to Hereford Cathedral this July for a summer of music in the Chapter House Garden.

A popular event within the cathedral’s summer programme, Jazz in The Garden is a free music event featuring local musicians and performers. This year, the cathedral will be playing host to six Friday lunchtime events from 19 July to 31 August

The programme opens on Friday 19 July with the popular Whiskey River Acoustic Quartet who will bring an Americana blues feel to the programme. Little Rumba take to the garden the following week with other acts scheduled to appear over the summer including Hannah Lockerman Band, Hoi Polloi, Debs Hancock Jazz and Nuadha.

Erica Manley, Events Coordinator, Hereford Cathedral said: “We really look forward to welcoming an exciting selection of bands to the Chapter House Garden this summer and are very grateful to our sponsors Flint & Cook, Greenwood Project, Watkins Thomas, Impact Print, Rowlestone Farm Ice Cream and GB Liners for enabling us to make sure that this event remains free of charge for all visitors.

Jazz in The Garden takes place within the Chapter House Garden with the bar open from 12 pm serving a selection of beer, ciders and soft drinks. Music begins at 1 pm and, in the event of wet weather, the concert will be moved into the cathedral.

Tickets are not required for this event but donations to support the cathedral are welcomed on the day.
