The Evening Hour is a service of prayer for healing and time for quiet reflection at the shrine of Saint Thomas of Hereford in the north transept of the cathedral. Some may come to pray for healing in their own lives; some may come to pray for healing for someone else; some may come to pray for healing in our broken world.

The Evening Hour usually takes place after Evensong on one Sunday each month and as we are unable to gather this month on Sunday 26 April, we have created a guide to help people worship from home. This time of prayer and reflection for healing and well-being has been designed for people to use at home, either individually or with others who live there.

We recommend finding a place where you will be comfortable and undisturbed. If you have a cross, place it on a surface where you can see it, and an unlit candle by it. You may also might like to play some quiet music to help settle you before you begin.
