This week Hereford Cathedral Choir will return to singing together for the first time since Christmas Day 2020.

Due to current restrictions, the choir are unable to sing with a congregation present at the moment, so for the time being they will be singing Evensong behind closed doors on four weekdays with relevant precautions in place. We will be sharing some of these services online via our webcast page.

Geraint Bowen, director of music at the cathedral, says, 'It was wonderful to hear our choristers rehearsing in the song school this morning for the first time in nearly three months. Despite the long break, they were in fine form, and when the current restrictions are able to be relaxed we all look forward to being able to return to our normal schedule of daily sung services at the cathedral at which all will be welcome.'

With restrictions as they currently stand, the choir will not be singing during Holy Week and Easter at services which are open to a congregation. Should the situation change we will update our community via our website.
