Hereford Cathedral is looking for an office administrator to liaise with schools and work with staff and volunteers at the cathedral, in order to facilitate the smooth running of school visits from initial enquiry through to the invoicing process. Your work will also include responsibility for organising and ordering workshop resources as necessary, and from time to time this may require creative input. Ideally you will have experience of working in a school office or school classroom, and will be confident using computer programmes like Word and Excel. You will also be involved in assisting with the delivery of educational visits from schools and family visits during school holidays.

The post is permanent and is subject to a six-month probation period. The appointment of the successful candidate is subject to the receipt of two satisfactory references, proof of right to work in the UK and will require a DBS check.

Starting in September 2022, the role is for average 9 hours per week, to be worked Monday to Friday during school term time, and ideally include some availability during school holidays.  Days and hours worked to be agreed. Remuneration will be £9.50 per hour, with the opportunity to participate in a non-contributory pension scheme.
