You are invited to sponsor a lily this Easter to celebrate the lives of departed loved ones or to give thanks to God for special times over the past twelve months.

In preparation for Easter Day the cathedral will be decorated with flowers on Easter Eve (30 March). These floral arrangements mark the Resurrection and hope of everlasting life that Easter celebrates. A special focus will be the Easter garden in the south transept, where a Record of Remembrance will be placed during Eastertide. This will be a special place for quiet prayer and contemplation.

If you wish a loved one or a special event to be celebrated with a lily please pick up a form in the cathedral or contact Erica Manley at Hereford Cathedral Perpetual Trust. [email protected] (01432 374259)

As a sponsor we hope you will be able to join us at some of our easter services and events, Choral Evensong on Easter Day will include prayers for those loved ones and the special events celebrated by your lilies.

Jesus said: ‘Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil not spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these.’ (Matthew 6, 28b–29)
