SHROVE TUESDAY

For families on Tuesday 21 February from 12 noon we will be holding our Messy Church Shrove Tuesday event. Join us for a day of crafting activities suitable for the whole family and make a selection of Lent themed crafts to take home. We will be having pancakes at 12.30pm! Booking is not required for this event, children must be accompanied at all times.

Lent Lecture Series

Fridays in March, 10.30 am – 12 noon

The Revd Canon Dr Maureen Palmer presents a series of lectures this Lent in the Old Chapel. Each lecture will end with a fifteen minute meditation. Attendees are asked to bring a Bible with them, if possible, the NRSV translation. This event is free to attend – booking is not required.

Lent Retreat: With Jesus in the Wilderness

Saturday 11 March, 10.30 am – 3.30 pm

The Revd Canon Dr Maureen Palmer will lead a Lent Retreat in the Old Chapel this March. This event is free, but lunch can be preordered from the café for £5.50. Due to limited spaces, please book your place in advance online or via the cathedral office

Lent Lunches, 12.30 pm – 1.45 pm

Join us in College Hall for an informal lunch of soup, bread and water with a speaker discussing what Lent means to them. This event is free with a suggested donation of £2.50. Please book your space online by clicking the dates below or via the cathedral office.

LENT APPEAL

The Cathedral has supported several ordinands from the Diocese of Masasi, including Vincent Masimosya who is now teaching at St Cyprian’s College, Rondo through its Lent Appeals. At present the Cathedral is supporting Ezekiel Kyara, a third year student from the Diocese of Tanga.
