In line with the guidance issued by the Government and the Church of England, all services at Hereford Cathedral will be suspended from Thursday 5 November for the duration of lockdown. Our doors will, however, be open for private prayer between the hours of 10 am and 3 pm.

We are currently deciding on the best way to produce and share our digital worship during this period, and look forward to sharing details of this in the coming days.

The Cathedral Shop, Cafe and Mappa Mundi & Chained Library Exhibition will also be closed to the public from Thursday 5 November to Wednesday 2 December inclusive, and all tours and events are suspended. We will, however, make our Christmas range of cards and gifts from the Cathedral Shop available to purchase online at www.herefordcathedral.org/shop and will deliver your requirements by post.

We are mindful of the fact that this month we are all asked to stay at home, and would like to assure you that just because you may not be able to visit the cathedral, our thoughts and prayers will be with our community throughout, the dark nights of November will not last forever, and we look forward to welcoming you back in person as soon as we can.
