We are looking for an energetic and confident assistant to join our growing Events department. Based in the unique and beautiful College Cloisters, our team is responsible for the Cathedral’s creative and diverse events program.

This varied role will offer a rewarding opportunity to use excellent interpersonal skills, organisation and positive attitude to create memorable experiences for our visitors and audiences to enjoy. The overall key duties will include both the provision of administrative support for event bookings and organisation, plus front-of-house work providing additional cover for evening and weekend events.

The post is permanent and is subject to a six-month probation period. The appointment of the successful candidate is subject to the receipt of two satisfactory references, proof of right to work in the UK and will also require a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.

The working hours are 22.5 hours per week, with flexibility available to allow for time working during cathedral office hours and running some events out of hours in evenings or at weekends. Overtime is not payable but time off in lieu will be granted. The position will command a salary of £13,200 per annum, with an 8% non-contributory pension scheme.
