Homo Sapiens: All the Same, All Different?

Dr Audrey Nunn | Tuesday 7 June | 7pm | £10

The Mappa Mundi may have strange figures and monsters on its periphery expressing fear of the unknown. But are we any different today as we marginalise groups and cultures ‘not like us’? Our own sense of identity and belonging is woven into the mythology and stereotyping of ‘Others’. What can we learn if we listen to the wisdom of strangers?

Dr Audrey Nunn is a Social Anthropologist, Educationalist and inveterate traveller.

Join Audrey in College Hall on Tuesday 7 June, 7pm, for this talk.

This event is part of the Life & Learning programme in a series accompanying the Strangers exhibition. Tickets cost £10 and can be purchased below.
