Hereford Choral Society return for their popular performance of Handel's Messiah on Saturday 11 December, at 7.30PM.

The 1742 premiere of Handel’s Messiah was sufficiently crowded for it to have been famously demanded that ladies not bring hoops and men leave their swords at home! Messiah was an instant success and since that performance in Dublin, has been at the heart of the choral society tradition for over 275 years.

Maybe our 2021 performance will not require such demands, but please do join us for what is said by many to be the start of their Christmas.
