Taking place between 9-15 October every year, Baby Loss Awareness Week raises awareness about pregnancy and baby loss. Led by multiple charities, including Sands (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death charity) and Hereford Sands, this week unites bereaved families and parents to commemorate the lives of babies who died during pregnancy, during birth and in infancy.

Hereford Cathedral in partnership with Sands and Wye Valley Trust, will be lighting the cathedral in pink and blue light. We welcome all bereaved parents, families and friends to visit and tie a ribbon onto the west door to commemorate a life lost too soon.

On Saturday 15 October we welcome all families and friends to gather in the Lady Arbour Garden at 6.45pm where a candlelit act of remembrance will take place. We will light candles at 7pm to join in with the global wave of light.

The Lady Arbour Garden is located on the cathedral site to the south of the west end doors, close to Gwynne Street and Broad Street.
