Our popular Open Gardens days are back this year on select dates from May to September.

Visitors will be able to explore the walled Chapter House garden, tranquil Cloister garden, Canon's garden, Dean’s garden and the extensive Bishop's garden with our team of volunteer garden guides and gardeners on hand in each garden to answer any questions.

Open Gardens events are designed to allow visitors to enjoy wandering through the gardens at their own pace. We welcome you to take a break and enjoy the views of the river Wye from a bench, admire the impressive specimen trees in Bishop's palace, and chat to our friendly Garden Guides who are dotted around the gardens and love to share their knowledge.

Most of our gardens are usually private, so an opportunity to view them at an Open Garden day is not to be missed!

Open Gardens will be running on the following dates in 2022:

Wednesday 6 July

Saturday 27 August

Wednesday 7 September

We recommend booking tickets in advance, but they can also be purchased on the day at the entrance to the Cloisters. Tickets cost £5 and can be purchased via the Events section of our website, or click on the above dates to be directed to each page.
