#MyMappaMundi

Over the last few months our world has experienced drastic changes due to the coronavirus pandemic. We are inviting people to illustrate their own version of the Mappa Mundi to show us how their world looks right now.

Scholars believe that the Hereford Mappa Mundi was made around the year 1300 and shows the history, geography and destiny of humanity as it was understood in Christian Europe in the late thirteenth and early fourteenth centuries. It is an interpretation of how the world was perceived at that time.

Perhaps right now your world feels very small and you feel trapped? Perhaps the current global situation has changed your perspective on the world and opened your eyes to things that you hadn't appreciated before? Perhaps this quieter time has allowed you to discover old passions and has allowed you to find time for creativity?

However you feel right now, we would love to see what your view of the world is. We have prepared an outline template to help you get started but please don't let this limit your creativity...
