It’s been good to focus on our cathedral as a source of inspiration and comfort this Easter-tide.

We also give thanks for the great riches that we can derive from our brothers and sisters in all the Christian communities of our city.   I thought you might like to see the Easter video made featuring many of the church leaders from across the city.  We all have different styles, but click here to watch via Facebook.

We greatly missed our shared Easter liturgies with the congregation of St Francis Xavier – on Palm Sunday and for the Easter vigil, and, of course, this Friday 17 April was to have been the great celebration of the 700th anniversary of the Canonisation of St Thomas of Hereford. We were to have had a Mass in the Cathedral, at which the President would have been the Archbishop of Cardiff, the Most Revd. George Stack. Invitations had been sent to priests across the archdiocese of Cardiff and also to neighbouring parishes in the Catholic dioceses of Birmingham and Clifton.

Sadly, we had to cancel, but we can still pray that  the unity which we enjoy – that is may develop and increase, and that through it we may draw nearer to our risen Lord.
