In these strange times where we aren't able to communicate in our normal ways, a lot of us are starting to explore social media and other digital channels to keep in touch. Whilst it is wonderful that we have these ways to keep connected, it can be a little intimidating if you have never used them before. With this in mind we have found some helpful guides to help explain how to use digital channels - clicking these links will take you to another website.

The most important thing to be aware of is keeping yourself safe online. Age UK have created this comprehensive guide to potential online risks and how to protect yourself. Read Age UK's guide to Staying Safe Online here.

Social Media

You can find Hereford Cathedral on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram - our Marketing Officer Abby runs all of these accounts and is responsible for sharing images and news onto these platforms. You don't necessarily need an account or to sign in to see the things we post. If you do have an account though, remember that the people who look at our social media channels are from all across the world so you might see people commenting that you don't know.

We intend on keeping this guide up to date with support that our community may need over the coming weeks. If there are any apps or tips you have that we can share with our community please email [email protected]

Please not that this is not an exhaustive list of support and we aren't 'social media experts' but hopefully this may help! There are risks associated with all social media and digital platforms and we recommend reading privacy notices and security guidance before registering to any site.
