Our lunchtime organ concert on Tuesday 6 June was to have been given by Stephen Disley, assistant director of music at Southwark Cathedral. However, because of the terrorist attack at London Bridge, the cathedral was cordoned off and Stephen was unable to access either his music or his organ shoes.

Peter Dyke, Hereford Cathedral’s assistant director of music, stepped in to give the concert here in Hereford at 24 hours’ notice. It was decided that the proceeds should be donated to the British Red Cross, which had been working to assist those affected by the terrorist attack. Thanks to the generosity of our audience, the concert raised £500.

Peter’s concert is now available to listen to as a webcast here. If you would like to give to the British Red Cross, please click here. Thank you.
