Christingle Service

As we aren't able to gather together this year for our annual Christingle service, we are inviting everyone to join us from home on Christmas Eve for our pre-recorded video service. Thanks to St Thomas Cantilupe Primary School for all of their help making this video!

Each year the collection at our Christingle service helps to support the work of The Children's Society and this year, if you are able to, we are inviting people to make a donation directly to them by clicking here.

The Children's Society have prepared a fun pack of Christingle Activities (including a colouring in sheet!) that you can download and use at home.

Wishing you all a happy Christmas from the team at Hereford Cathedral!

Making a Christingle

To help us get ready for the service, which will be shared onto this page on Christmas Eve, Canon Chris Pullin has prepared this video to show us how to make our own Christingle!

Adult supervision is required during the making of Christingles as a knife needs to be used. If you haven't got a candle that's the right size, try using a birthday cake candle!

Each year the collection at our Christingle service helps to support the work of The Children's Society and this year, if you are able to, we are inviting people to make a donation online here. You can find out more about their work by watching the video below.
