Part of the Life & Learning Programme at Hereford Cathedral. This talk takes place in the Reading Room.

A talk for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. Lynne Surtees will tell the story of the Jesuit graves in the cathedral close. Who do those mysterious grave stones represent? Why was the Cathedral chapter so well disposed to their occupants? If nothing else, their continuing existence from the 19th century to the present day appears to testify to a willingness to accept denominational differences and a generous ecumenical spirit.

The talk will be followed by Prayers for Unity in the Lady Chapel and soup and rolls in the retro-choir.

This talk is free* but booking is essential via the Cathedral Library on 01432 374 225/6 or by emailing  [email protected]
