Quiet Hour Cathedral Quiet Hour offers visitors an opportunity to visit the cathedral at a calmer time of day. Join us for a quieter visit to the cathedral, perfect for anyone who experiences sensory overload such as those on the autistic spectrum or living with dementia. Cathedral Quiet Hour will run from 9 am – 10 am, and during this time there will be no organ or choir rehearsals, and noise will be kept to a minimum. Ear defenders will also be available to borrow from our welcome desk alongside other resources to enhance your visit. All of our wonderfully peaceful chapels will also be open for visitors to retreat to. During Quiet Hour, the Welcome Desk will be staffed by a Dementia Friends Champion should you require any assistance. As on every other day, entry to Hereford Cathedral is completely free, and visitors are welcome to spend as long as they like exploring the building.
