Led by volunteer guides and gardeners at Hereford Cathedral, the tour explores the late 15th century historic award-winning gardens from medieval times to the present day, with behind the scenes access to gardens not normally open to the public. Included in the tour are the colourful courtyard garden, the atmospheric cloisters garden enclosed by 15th century buildings, the Vicars Choral garden with plants with ecclesiastical connections and roses, the private Dean's Garden and the Bishop's Garden with fine trees and an outdoor chapel for meditation in ancient surroundings.

In 2012 the gardeners won two prestigious awards in the "It's your Neighbourhood, Heart of England in Bloom". They received an Outstanding Award for their work and also an Outstanding Merit Award in 2015, featured in the Easter edition of Country Life magazine, and also featured in 2016 in the BBC's Escape to the Country programme.

Teas and other refreshments will be available in College Hall.

Tickets are available from the Cathedral Shop on the day and cost £5 per person.
