NGS Garden Opening

We are pleased to open our gardens again on Friday 23 June as part of the National Garden Scheme. 

Discover the cathedral's historic and beautiful gardens with our Gardeners and Garden Guides on hand to answer any questions and share the history of the site. Book a morning or afternoon session below and visit the Chapter House, Cloister, Canons, Dean's and Bishop's Gardens at your own pace. 

Tickets cost £5 and can be purchased via the cathedral website by proceeding below, or on the day at the entrance to the College Cloisters. Please note, tickets purchased on the door will be via cash only.

All income from ticket sales goes to NGS and their partnership charities.  

We will be offering two sessions throughout the day:

Morning entry: 10am - 12.30pm  

Afternoon entry: 12.30pm - 3.30pm

Please note, last entry will be admitted at 3pm. Please ensure that you book for the correct time slot as we will not be able to change this once your ticket has been booked.

Accessibility Information: Chapter House & Cloisters Garden are both easily accessible for wheelchairs. Canon's Garden, Dean's Garden and Bishop's Garden have some areas with sloping lawns, gravel paths and a few steps so are less accessible, but more accessible routes throughout the gardens can be suggested.
