A living history, guided tour of some of the colourful characters who have lived and worked within the cathedral since the Middle Ages.

The tour takes visitors to the College Cloisters which are not usually open to the public. Along the way visitors can meet characters including James Reed, a seventeenth-century vicar choral, Nelly Pearce, a college laundry maid and Bishop Richard Mayew, who died in 1516 and is buried at the cathedral. The tour ends with a glass of beer or apple juice.

Tickets are £5 from the Cathedral Shop and can be purchased by contacting 01432 374210. Due to the popularity of this event in previous years we would recommend booking in advance.
