More than three times as many soldiers and civilians died of 'Spanish Flu' than of warfare. Professor Colin Howard, DSc, PhD, FRCPath, FIBiol, will recall how politicians and generals ignored its impact on the war effort until too late: 'Pale Horse, Pale Rider: the forgotten pandemic of 1918'.
