Who are the choristers?

The choristers of Hereford Cathedral provide music at the daily services and on many special occasions throughout the year. They also reach a wider audience through webcasts, concerts, broadcasts on television and radio, recordings and international tours. In recent years the choir has toured the USA six times and in 2010 it made its first visit to South Africa.

Earlier this year the choir sang at a concert in Buckingham Palace in the presence of HRH The Prince of Wales.

All choristers are educated at Hereford Cathedral School, where they receive substantial scholarships provided by the cathedral, which may be increased to 100% in case of financial need
