Artists and Craftsmen
Artists and Craftsmen have left their mark on today's Cathedral since Saxon times in the form of Sculpture, painting, stained glass, embroidery, metal work and book crafts. The Artists and Craftsman tour explores their legacy along with how today's working stonemason's yard continues the tradition.

Children's Tours and Educational Visits
Children's versions of many of the above tours are possible with guides who are fully experienced and qualified for working with groups of secondary and primary age children. Activities may be included if requested. Please contact the Visits Manager to discuss your needs. More information available here.

Any of the above tours are available to booked groups of 15 people or more and can include refreshments to suit your needs (including morning coffee, light lunch, afternoon teas, etc.). Please contact the Visits Manager to make a booking.

From 17 July to 18 August 2006 access to the interior of the cathedral will be severely limited due to the set-up of the Three Choirs Festival. During this period a greater number of exterior tours and activities will be taking place with unrestricted access to the Mappa Mundi & Chained Library Exhibition, Cathedral Shop and Cloister Cafe. Visitors are still very welcome during this time. Please contact the Visits Manager for more details.
