OBJECTS OF THE SOCIETY OF FRIENDS:
- To encourage the community in general, and persons of the Diocese in particular, to interest themselves in Hereford Cathedral, its precincts and history.
- To maintain or assist in maintaining the fabric and furnishing of the cathedral, and to supplement the resources of the Dean and Chapter available for such maintenance.
- To undertake any such work as shall, in opinion of the council, tend to improve and beautify the cathedral and its precincts, subject to the approval of the Dean and Chapter.
- To receive subscriptions and donations and to raise funds for all or any of the objects of the society, and to expend them in such manner as the council think fit.
- To do all things as may in the opinion of the council be conducive or ancillary to the carrying out of the society's objects.
An Annual Report and Statement of Accounts are issued at a Festival Service and General Meeting held each year. |
