Hereford Cathedral has recently established a gap-year choral scholarship scheme, following its highly-successful introduction of a similar organ scholarship in 2008. The first choral scholarships (one each of countertenor, tenor and bass) will be awarded for the 2010–11 academic year. The cathedral's director of music, Geraint Bowen, would be delighted to hear from prospective candidates or to answer any general enquiries about the scholarships.
