Hereford Cathedral has recently established a gap-year choral scholarship scheme, following its highly-successful introduction of a similar organ scholarship in 2008. The first choral scholarships were awarded for the 2010–11 academic year. Choral scholars for 2011–12 were appointed early in 2011, and the cathedral's director of music, Geraint Bowen, would be delighted to hear from prospective candidates for the academic year 2012-13, or to answer any general enquiries about the scholarships.
