Signs and Symbols Trail
Focus Question: How are the beliefs of Christianity expressed in symbolism and through worship?
This is a very ‘hands on’ trail. It starts at the font where baptism and ideas of birth and rebirth into a new life are discussed, and it finishes at the nave altar, underneath the corona, where we talk about the concept of a ‘crown of thorns and crown of glory’. During the trail children are able to read from the lectern, sing in the choir stalls, light candles and try on a mitre and sit on the Bishop’s throne.
