Key Stage 2

For Key Stage 2 children who have not visited the cathedral before, the building might seem enormous and possibly intimidating. KS2 at Denton Tomb

When you bring a class to visit us, whichever trail or workshop they are doing, they will be warmly welcomed. They will have time to look around at their surroundings, to notice the architecture and furnishings and to make observations and ask questions.

KS2 in Lady Chapel

If your visit is related to the RE curriculum, the children will not only meet Christians and learn about aspects of Christianity, they will also have time to reflect and respond in their own way to issues that are important or special to their own lives.

As well as visits supporting the RE curriculum, our Key Stage 2 programme includes History based visits. If none of our standard trails or workshops suit your needs, we are very happy to work with you to plan a visit based around a curriculum area of your choice.
