Our group for teenagers of age range 11 to 16 years meets in the cathedral cloister once a month.
Our aim is to continue the journey that our members have made during Sunday school; however the format is completely different.
We regularly invite speakers to join us, thus giving the group the opportunity to gain an understanding of various professions and experiences together with a view of how adults interweave their faith within the working world.
Time is given to group discussions and debates about contemporary issues and we also arrange one outside event each term, such as ten pin bowling, paint ball or less strenuous activities.
When the main Sunday school is involved in services in the Cathedral, the group will often provide support, acting as side’s people or assisting with the children.
We also aim to prepare our young people for the next step in their life journey, which often involves sixth form, entry to the world of work or University.
