Tower Tours:

As you climb the stairs to the roof there is a unique view of the interior of the cathedral from the Lantern Gallery, then up to see the bell chamber which houses our 10 bells. Next is a quick look at the clock before the last 49 steps to the roof where our information boards point out the landmarks of the county and beyond!

Tours are planned at 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm for Tuesday 14th, Wednesday 15th (only 1.30 & 2.30pm now available) and Thursday 16th February.

Please do telephone 01432 374200 before making a special journey though as these special tours are dependent on favourable weather conditions. Tickets priced at £5 Adults, £4 concessions and £12 family should be bought from the cathedral shop as numbers are limited on each tour.

Daily Tours:

For those of you not wanting to scale the heights why not take time out and enjoy one of our daily tours of the cathedral. Our volunteer guides will walk you around the cathedral giving you an insight into its history and tell some of the many stories it holds.

The tours will take place: 11.15am daily from Monday 13th - Saturday 18th and at 2.15pm on Tuesday 14th, Wednesday 15th and Saturday 18th. 

start from the Welcome Desk the the tours are free we do appreciate a donation towards the upkeep and the work of our cathedral.

For the rest of our winter season we plan to run a tour at 11.15am on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
