Quality Mark for Hereford Cathedral Education Programme
National accreditation for 'learning outside the classroom'
The Education Team at Hereford Cathedral have been awarded a Quality Mark by the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom. The Quality Mark is recognition of the high quality of school visits and educational experiences provided at the cathedral. These call on the knowledge and expertise of the many volunteers who make up the Education Team.

Experiences offered to schools include Godly Play story sessions, Pilgrimages, Tudor Trails and opportunities to explore and discuss the signs and symbols of Christianity.
Revd. Canon Chris Pullin, Canon Chancellor of Hereford Cathedral, said, “We are delighted to have been awarded the Quality Mark. It is a fitting reward for the dedication and imagination of our Education Team. The manifesto for Learning Outside the Classroom states that ‘Every young person should experience the world beyond the classroom as an essential part of learning and personal development, whatever their age, ability or circumstances’ and we are proud to be able to contribute to that vision.”
