Over 2,000 spectators packed into Hereford Cathedral Close on Saturday 1 October to witness a spectacular fireworks and bell ringing event, beginning a weekend of festivities to celebrate the unveiling of Cathedral Close.

The £5.5M Heritage Lottery supported project began in 2009 and  will re-establish the beauty and dignity of the Close at the heart of the historic city and diocese, stimulating the development of tourism, business, culture, learning and access for future generations.
